Monday 11 July marked the start of this year's football Cúl Camp in Ratheniska. 

With 130 players registered, the coaches had their hands full but did a great job, expertly led by Laois star Colm Begley. The players really enjoyed the coaching with great variety in the drills and games all week long which, no doubt, has added to the skills of players. 

For some, it was their first taste of football and we look forward to welcoming them to Par/Ratheniska on an on-going basis. We have been lucky with the weather in recent years and this continued this year which made the camp all the more enjoyable. Colm Begley rounded off the camp in style when he brought an international dimension to Ratheniska with a version of the Iceland 'hand-clap' as seen at Euro 2016. 

We were delighted, as always, to host the camp for Laois GAA; thanks to Donie Brennan (GDA) and all the coaches for a great week.
