The Park/Ratheniska GAA Club currently enter adult teams in the Laois Senior Football Championship and the Laois Junior C Football Championship as well as the Laois All County Football Leagues. We also cater for underage football from U6 all the way up to U21, with fully trained and certified coaches operating at all levels.
In the past we have competed at the very highest level of the Laois Championship, famously winning back to back Laois Senior Football Championship titles in 1952 & 1953 under the coaching of Will McEvoy and the captaincy of Laois great, Paddy Dunne. The wins place our Club at 9th on the Laois GAA SFC Roll of Honour.
The Club won the Leinster Junior Football Championship back in 2006, defeating St Ultans of Meath by 2-08 to 1-08 in Ratheniska on a memorable December day. Since then we contested an Laois Intermediate Football Final in 2008, losing out to Ballyroan in a storm in O'Moore Park. We returned to the Junior Ranks in 2014, where were suffered 6 years of heartbreak in semi final and finals, before finally making our way back to Intermediate in 2021 when we defeated Portlaoise to win the Covid delayed 2020 Junior Football title. Just a few months later we were back Senior, after defeating Mountmellick in the 2021 Laois Intermediate Football Championship Final. After 2 years in the Senior Championship, we returned to Intermediate ranks in 2024
